My friend’s invite link or code doesn’t work
Invites expire one hour after they’re made. Ask the person who invited you to open the group, tap Invite, and make a new code or link. You can type the 8-digit code on the Join screen, or paste the link there.
I don’t have the app yet. How do I join?
Install Split Drive, then tap your friend’s invite link again, or open Join in the app and paste it. You’ll be asked to sign in with Apple first.
Can people see exactly where I am?
No. Your group sees only your city. Your exact location is encrypted on your phone, and it’s only updated when you tap “Search from my location” or set an address yourself.
How do I meet someone who doesn’t have the app?
Open Quick Meet and tap Send. Your friend gets a link by text. Tapping it lets them share their rough area, without installing anything, and you see places in the middle. Each request disappears after a day.
Someone in my group hasn’t shared where they are
Open the group, tap the people button, and tap the location button next to their name. They get a notification asking them to update their location. Each person can be reminded once every 3 hours.
How do I rename a group or change its color?
Open the group and tap the people button. Anyone in the group can change the name or pick a background color, and everyone sees the change.
How do I change how I’m getting there?
Open a group and choose Drive, Walk, Bike or Transit above the “Search from my location” button. Everyone’s travel times update to match.
How do I leave or delete a group?
On the Groups screen, swipe a group left to reveal Leave (or Delete, if you’re the only person in it). You can also use Manage groups from the side menu.
How do I remove the ads?
Subscribe to Split Drive Plus in Settings. It’s a yearly subscription that removes ads and unlocks more groups. To restore a purchase on a new phone, open Settings, then Split Drive Plus, then Restore purchase.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
Open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose Split Drive. Apple handles billing and refunds. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com to ask for a refund.
How do I change my ad privacy choices?
If your region requires it, open Settings in Split Drive and tap Ad Choices.
How do I block or report someone?
Open their profile from Friends or search and choose Block or Report. Reports are reviewed by us.
How do I delete my account?
Open Settings, then Delete Account. This permanently removes your account, favorites, profile and the groups you started.
Notifications aren’t arriving
Check Settings, then Notifications, then Split Drive on your iPhone, and make sure notifications are allowed. Group notifications are limited to one every 15 minutes per person so they don’t become noise.
